The video overview illustrates in a rapid and schematic way the verification and control activities carried out during customs clearance by ADM, in collaboration with the Ministry of Economic Development (MISE), on imported products to ensure that they are not dangerous for the safety and health of consumers.
The risk analysis undertaken upstream of these activities, with the help of the centralized risk analysis system (so-called Customs Control Circuit), allows to identify the level of risk associated with the type of goods handled and, therefore, the type control to be carried out (which inevitably depend on the times and methods of release of the goods):
In the product safety sector, the verification activity carried out at customs (which can determine the failure to release the goods or impose the obligation to make the goods compliant with the regulatory requirements), is accompanied by the intervention of the MISE and, in some cases, including the analysis activity of our chemical laboratories or other bodies with which ADM has signed special agreements
